Family Law Associate

Compensation:
$80,000 – $90,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
As a junior family law associate, your job responsibilities would typically include:
- Assisting senior attorneys: You will work closely with experienced family law attorneys, providing support in various aspects of their cases. This includes conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and preparing briefs.
- Client communication: You will have regular interactions with clients, both in-person and through written communication. You will be responsible for gathering information from clients, discussing case updates, and addressing their concerns.
- Case preparation: You will be involved in the preparation of family law cases, which may involve divorce, child custody, spousal support, adoption, or other related matters. This includes conducting interviews, gathering evidence, organizing documents, and preparing case summaries.
- Legal research and writing: You will be responsible for conducting thorough legal research on family law issues, including statutes, regulations, and case precedents. Based on your research, you will draft legal memoranda, motions, and other legal documents to support the case.
- Court appearances and hearings: As a junior associate, you may have the opportunity to attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings with senior attorneys. This will give you exposure to the courtroom environment and allow you to gain practical experience.
- Document review and analysis: You will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing various legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, financial records, and pleadings. This involves identifying relevant information, assessing its impact on the case, and preparing summaries for the legal team.
