Job Description
Job Title: Fall Sales Intern
Location: Dallas–Fort Worth Metro Area (In-Person)
Timeframe: The internship runs for approximately 9 weeks during the fall semester, specifically from September 15th – December 15th OR October 1st – December 15th.
Overview:
The Fall Sales Intern role is designed for an individual eager to gain in-depth knowledge of media sales, prospecting, and community engagement, with a direct contribution to the company’s revenue growth. This position integrates training, field experience, and hands-on sales outreach.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
• Research and identify local advertising prospects utilizing diverse sources such as local publications, billboards, online listings, and dormant leads.
• Contact potential clients via phone, email, and social media to arrange discovery calls for the Account Executives.
• Log activity, track progress, and maintain accurate records within the CRM system.
• Shadow sales team members in client meetings, community events, and internal planning sessions to observe and learn.
• Learn about CI’s advertising products, the sales process, and its community-driven approach.
• Contribute to measurable revenue growth through the generation of qualified leads and scheduled appointments.

• Strong communication skills, demonstrating comfort in speaking with business owners.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
• Sales, marketing, communications, or business coursework is preferred but not required.
Compensation & Hours:
• $12 per hour, for 40 hours per week.
• Offers an opportunity for bonus and commission based on performance.
• Presents a potential pathway to a full-time sales role upon successful completion of the internship.
