External Audit Intern / Trainee Job Description

As an Intern/Trainee within PwC’s External Audit services, you will be part of a team focused on providing assurance services and business advice to a diverse range of clients, from small, fast-growing businesses to large international entities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting select phases of a financial statement audit.
Contributing to select projects.
Demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative.
Building strong relationships with team members.
Proactively seeking guidance and feedback.
Prioritizing and completing tasks effectively.
Exercising professional skepticism.

You will be provided with opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge in areas such as:

PwC’s business operations and value delivery to clients.
Research, analysis, and problem-solving using various tools and techniques.
Data analysis and information management.
Communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ethical conduct and business practices.

Qualifications:

Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Preferred: Client service intern positions are typically filled by students in their third year of a four-year program or fourth year of a five-year program.
Preferred: Demonstrates an interest in auditing and a desire to pursue a career in public accounting.
Preferred: Basic knowledge of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting systems.
Preferred: Proven ability to research and analyze pertinent client, industry, and technical matters.
Preferred: Experience with problem-solving, prioritizing, managing multiple tasks, interacting with various levels of leadership, and self-motivation.

Salary Range:

$30.75 – $40.75, dependent on experience and location.
