Experience Design Intern at Dow Jones

This internship offers a chance to work within the Experience Design team at Dow Jones, shaping the user experience across their various news and research products, including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, and MarketWatch.

Responsibilities:

• Define new user experiences across a range of products.
• Learn from a multidisciplinary team including Product, UX Research, Editorial, and Engineering.
• Take ownership of a project or initiative throughout the internship duration.
• Implement design direction aligned with Dow Jones’ experience design principles.
• Communicate effectively across a multidisciplinary team throughout all project phases.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
• Stay informed on trends, tools, and technologies in experience design, proactively seeking knowledge for professional development.

Currently pursuings:

Required: Completed at least two years towards a Bachelor’s degree in User Experience (UX) Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Digital Media or Multimedia Design, Computer Science or Information Technology, or Psychology.
Familiarity with: digital product design best practices, usability, accessibility, and user-centered design procedures.
Ability to: work in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.
Strong: passion for identifying and solving problems.
Demonstrated: curiosity and an engaged mindset.
Interest in: experience design, information hierarchy, user flow, and typography principles.
