The Tone:
This is a temporary contract role, located in Atlanta, GA, for a premier golf tournament. The organization is committed to delivering an exceptional experience for players, sponsors, and attendees, and seeks a highly motivated individual to contribute to this mission. This role is crucial in supporting the Event Services Director with critical aspects of hospitality, sponsorship activation, and overall client services, directly impacting the success and smooth operation of the event.

• Mission: Coordinates all operational aspects for a professional golf tournament, ensuring seamless execution of hospitality, sponsorship, and client services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Tournament Coordination: Work closely with the Event Services Director and Manager to coordinate all aspects necessary for managing a professional golf tournament effectively.
• Volunteer Administration: Assist with the comprehensive management of the volunteer program, which includes the application process, accurate data entry, communication with volunteers and chairmen, preparation of volunteer packages, and efficient headquarters management.
• Event & Meeting Execution: Organize and execute various key events and meetings, such as Sponsor Day, Honorary Observers, Women in Business Event, Media Day, and the Am-Am (Amateur-Amateur Tournament), along with other smaller gatherings.
• Inventory & Shipments: Take responsibility for the detailed inventory management of all tournament apparel, prizes, and related items, and oversee the management of all incoming tournament-related shipments.
• Client & Stakeholder Communication: Update and maintain all materials related to corporate hospitality, players, and volunteers, manage the tournament hospitality guide, and assist with direct communication to corporate clients.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum qualification is a graduating senior or graduate student in an accredited four-year college or university, or currently possessing a bachelor’s degree. Preferred academic backgrounds include Sports Marketing/Management, Marketing, Communications, or other comparable fields. This is an early career opportunity.
• Experience: No specific years of professional experience are strictly required. However, proficiency in leveraging Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is essential for daily operations and task completion.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills. The ability to take initiative and be proactive in accomplishing tasks independently and within a team environment. Proven capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure, coupled with excellent time management skills.
• Bonus: Prior sporting event experience is a preferred qualification for this role.
