Event Programmer | Ticketmaster

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Ticketmaster, located in Arizona, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas. Ticketmaster, part of Live Nation Entertainment, is the world’s largest ticket marketplace and the global market leader in live event ticketing products and services, processing 550 million tickets per year across 35+ countries. The company’s mission is to connect people around the world to the live events they love. This Event Programmer role is vital for supporting Ticketmaster clients with their event management needs, ensuring the accurate building and updating of events, which allows clients to effectively utilize Ticketmaster’s various products and platforms to meet their business objectives.

The TL;DR

• Team: Event Management team, reporting to Event Support Manager
• Mission: Accurately collect, review, and input event data into the Ticketmaster Host system and manage event updates for clients.
• Tech Stack: Host, Host applications, EventPro, EMT, TM1 suite products

What You’ll Actually Do
• Event Management: Meet and exceed service level agreements for event management.
• Data Entry: Accurately input event data into the Ticketmaster Host system and identify and resolve event-related errors.
• Client Collaboration: Work with clients, promoters, and internal departments to create events and distribute information.
• Relationship Building: Establish and develop relationships with assigned clients.
• On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call schedule rotation to provide after-hour, weekend, and holiday client support.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent is required; a BA/BS degree is preferred. This role requires foundational knowledge in event programming and management within the entertainment business.
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience with the Ticketmaster System or in a related field, with some exposure and understanding of the system, is required. Prior box office experience is considered a significant advantage.
• Skills: Demonstrated service orientation with strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral, are essential. The ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, coupled with excellent data entry skills and overall computer literacy, is also critical for this position.
• Bonus: A certain degree of creativity, latitude, and problem-solving capabilities are beneficial. An overall awareness of the entertainment business and an understanding of how various Ticketmaster departments interact with each other and external clients are also advantageous.
