Job Description
The Equity Research Intern position at Roth Capital Partners, LLC focuses on supporting the equity research team. This role involves conducting research, assisting clients, and performing data collection and statistical studies related to various industries and individual companies and their securities. Through structured training and practical experience, the intern will directly support Equity Research Associates and Analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Searching, collecting, consolidating, and interpreting data pertaining to companies and industries.
• Developing and maintaining financial models, market monitoring systems, and various databases.
• Contributing to the preparation of research reports, notes, and briefs, potentially authoring portions or more of these documents.
• Communicating effectively and handling information requests from various stakeholders.
• Providing administrative support to the team as needed.
• Performing financial modeling tasks, including inputting data into proprietary financial models to generate charts, dashboards, and other supporting materials.
• Undertaking other responsibilities as assigned by the team.
Required Skills and Attributes:
• Demonstrated excellent analytical skills and a solid understanding of relevant financial and accounting techniques.
• Ability to express ideas effectively and fluently in both written and verbal communication.
• Strong writing skills, characterized by clarity, conciseness, speed, and precision.
• A fast learner, capable of quickly grasping new concepts and procedures.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, presentation software, and internet navigation; specifically, strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and possessing strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to adapt to and work within a flexible schedule.
Qualifications:
• Applicants must currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
• The internship is scheduled to take place during the spring semester.
• Candidates must be available to work between 20-30 hours per week.
• This is an in-office internship, requiring presence at the Newport Beach, CA office.
Compensation:
• The compensation for this internship is minimum-wage.
