What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Recommendations: Provide formal, independent investment recommendations to advisory clients, delivered through published research reports and detailed financial models.
• Sector Coverage Expansion: Support the Senior Research Analyst in covering the U.S. Networking Equipment sector while also taking responsibility for covering specific assigned stocks to expand BNP Paribas Research’s footprint in the U.S.
• Financial Analysis & Modeling: Build, rigorously review, and meticulously maintain financial databases and comprehensive models, performing in-depth analysis of company performance and broader industry data.
• Research Publication & Communication: Develop compelling investment theses, publish investment-driven research reports and concise notes, and actively communicate findings through personal conversations, meetings, and media appearances with corporates, investors, and internal teams.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Engage directly with corporate management, attend investor conferences and analyst days to gather insights, and collaborate closely with internal teams such as corporate access, research sales, specialist sales, and trading to leverage firm resources for investment recommendations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field of study.
• Experience: Over 5 years of experience in sell-side or buy-side financial stock analysis, specifically with a preference for experience in the IT Hardware, Networking Equipment, and/or Semiconductors sectors.
• Skills: Proven ability to analyze financial reports and business performance models; expertise in market data tools including FactSet, Bloomberg, and S&P Capital IQ; detailed knowledge of financial modeling, stock analysis, and valuation using Excel.
• Bonus: CFA, CPA, or international equivalent certification; FINRA Registrations SIE, Series 63, 86, 87.
