Americas Equity – US Homebuilders & Building Products Associate | UBS

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at UBS, located in New York, NY. UBS operates as a leading and truly global wealth manager, the leading universal bank in Switzerland, and provides diversified asset management solutions alongside focused investment banking capabilities across more than 50 markets. This role is crucial for the Global Research team, where you will partner with a Lead Analyst to perform equity research and in-depth analysis of publicly traded companies within the US Homebuilders & Building Products sector. You will contribute to investment recommendations and ideas, working within a collaborative culture that leverages artificial intelligence to enhance workflows and efficiency.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaboration: Work closely with Senior analysts in a variety of different roles, providing support and contributing to team objectives.
• Modeling: Assist in the construction, ensure accuracy, and maintain detailed company-specific financial models for the assigned sector.
• Reporting: Draft individual company and sector-wide research reports for distribution to the UBS sales force, as well as external clients.
• Analysis: Provide investment recommendations based on earnings projections, thorough valuation analysis, and comprehensive risk assessment.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with both institutional and internal clients to convey investment recommendations and ideas.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in Finance, Economics, or Accounting. This is an Associate role where training will be provided on the job for accounting principles.
• Experience: Prior experience in the evaluation of companies is considered an advantage for this position.
• Skills: A strong understanding of accounting principles, including the ability to review and interpret annual reports and financial statements; solid know-how of Microsoft Excel; and excellent communication skills, enabling you to educate through innovative models, reports, and presentations.
• Bonus: An MBA is preferred but not essential, an understanding of other programming languages is an advantage, and a keen curiosity to explore how AI can improve work processes is valued. Top-notch customer service focus, the ability to perform under pressure to meet time-sensitive deadlines, and an inquisitive, organized, detail-oriented, self-starter approach are also beneficial.
