The Tone:
This is a full-time role at an oil and gas operator, located in Houston, TX. Morgan Benjamin Search Group is partnering with this operator to find an Entry Level Volume Accountant. This position offers a recent graduate or early career professional the chance to develop specialized accounting skills within the oil and gas industry. You will work closely with an experienced team, supporting critical monthly volume allocations and revenue accounting functions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Allocation: Allocate monthly oil and gas volumes and calculate associated pricing, transportation costs, and accruals for revenue accounting support.
• Invoicing: Prepare invoices and associated payment statements.
• Reconciliation: Reconcile volumes, inventory, and account balances.
• Problem Solving: Research discrepancies and coordinate solutions with internal teams and external parties.
• Reporting: Prepare monthly reports and general ledger reconciliations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field for an entry-level role.
• Experience: Experience with accounting, reconciliations, invoicing, or reporting gained through internships or prior roles.
• Skills: Strong Excel proficiency, comfort working with numerical data, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities.
• Bonus: Prior experience in the oil and gas or midstream industry.
