Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry Level Staff Accountant. This is a full-time, on-site position located at our office in Pleasanton, CA.

As an Entry Level Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients by performing a variety of essential accounting functions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic professional services environment and work alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for various clients.
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform thorough reconciliation of various accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Payroll Services: Provide support for payroll processing and related services.
  • Tax Preparation Assistance: Collaborate with senior team members in the preparation of U.S. and international tax returns.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous and organized financial records and documentation.
  • Compliance: Ensure all financial activities and record-keeping adhere to relevant accounting principles, regulations, and firm standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior accountants and other team members to deliver comprehensive accounting and tax solutions to clients across diverse industries.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess a strong academic foundation and a keen interest in developing a career in public accounting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Accounting Principles: Strong foundational understanding and practical skills in core accounting principles, including financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.
  • Software Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in commonly used accounting software and tools, particularly QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, critical for ensuring accuracy in financial analysis, documentation, and record-keeping.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities, essential for effective collaboration with team members and professional interaction with clients.
  • Adaptability & Learning: Proven ability to adapt quickly and learn new concepts and processes in a fast-paced and evolving professional environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications (A Plus):

  • Previous internship or relevant work experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
