What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Close Support: Actively participate in month-end close procedures, which includes preparing essential financial reports, drafting accurate journal entries, completing thorough account reconciliations, and compiling all necessary supporting schedules.
• Account Management & Compliance: Systematically maintain and meticulously reconcile both balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring every entry and reconciliation strictly adheres to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Operational Accounting & Analysis: Provide direct support to daily accounting operations by thoroughly researching financial transactions, conducting in-depth account analyses, and proactively working to resolve any identified discrepancies or variances.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various internal teams and departments, providing them with critical financial information and dedicated support to help achieve broader business objectives and initiatives.
• Special Projects & Process Improvement: Contribute to and assist with specific accounting projects and various transactions, including efforts to identify and implement process improvements and fulfilling ad hoc financial reporting requests as needed.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. This is an entry-level position that requires a foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and core accounting concepts.
• Experience: Possess approximately one year of accounting experience, with consideration given to individuals who have completed relevant accounting internships during their studies.
• Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and common accounting software. Exhibit strong analytical capabilities to interpret financial data and robust problem-solving skills to address accounting discrepancies.
