What You’ll Actually Do
• Compliance Verification: Audit employer contributions to employee benefit plans to ensure they meet contractual requirements.
• Employer Communication: Engage with employers to arrange audits, request necessary documentation, and discuss audit outcomes.
• Audit Execution: Conduct payroll compliance audits either remotely or by traveling to employer locations as circumstances dictate.
• Data Analysis: Perform compliance testing, analyze comprehensive payroll records, and reconcile this data with trust fund records.
• Reporting & Updates: Prepare detailed payroll audit reports for management review and provide timely status updates on assigned engagements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position requiring a 4-year Bachelor’s degree; candidates from business administration or social sciences are suitable due to developed critical thinking and communication skills.
• Experience: No CPA or prior audit experience is required, with comprehensive training provided to develop necessary skills.
• Skills: Proven ability to be an organized self-starter, strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical thinking to extract relevant information, and proficiency in MS Excel (logical formulas & pivot tables), Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Bonus: A positive thinker with a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and comfort with traveling to employer locations or performing remote audits as needed.
