• Mission: This individual will be responsible for supporting attorneys through the meticulous preparation of legal documents, diligent maintenance of client and case files, and ensuring strict adherence to all critical legal deadlines.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Drafting: Draft a variety of legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and professional correspondence.
• Filing: Execute e-filing procedures across different court systems and manage all necessary document recording.
• Management: Diligently maintain client and case files, as well as the broader firm-wide filing and document systems.
• Coordination: Organize and maintain group calendars to ensure strict adherence to all legal deadlines.
• Reporting & Communication: Prepare essential reports for attorney(s) and provide timely updates to clients.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree is a mandatory requirement for applicants pursuing this early career position within the legal support field.
• Experience: While no extensive prior professional paralegal experience is explicitly required, candidates are expected to demonstrate confidence in their capabilities to learn and adapt quickly within a legal environment.
• Skills: Candidates must possess superior organizational, research, and writing skills, alongside a strong attention to detail. The role demands the ability to work independently, effectively manage a heavy workload, and operate well under pressure. Excellent time management and comfortable, confident communication on the phone are also essential.
