Job Title: Entry-Level Landscape Designer (Summer 2026 Internship)

This internship role is specifically designed to provide an exceptional mentorship experience. It is anticipated to commence in late June 2026 and conclude in August 2026. This position will require full-time, in-office work.
Your Opportunity (Internship)
This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable resume and skill-building experience as an entry-level Landscape Designer. You will work 5 days per week, strictly in-person, and will engage directly with Stantec’s Landscape Architecture team members. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough project research.
- Performing site visits and preparing detailed observation reports.
- Developing design concepts through sketching.
- Executing CAD and computer graphics production tasks.
- Actively participating in design reviews.
- Assisting with marketing proposal development.
All tasks will be performed under the direct guidance and mentorship of experienced Landscape Architecture team members, ensuring a rich learning environment.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
We are seeking candidates who possess:
- Excellent design, graphic, computer, writing, and technical skills.
- A strong sense of self-motivation and a genuine passion for design.
- Strong time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- The proven ability to collaborate effectively with others, as well as to work productively independently.
- Essential experience with a range of software, including:
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Rhino
- Sketch-up
- Adobe programs
Education and Experience Requirements
Applicants must meet the following educational criteria:
- Be a current student or a recent graduate of an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program in Landscape Architecture.
