Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst | Alta Equipment Group

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts.
• Budgeting: Support budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data and performing variance analysis.
• Analysis: Analyze financial trends and performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
• Modeling: Maintain and update financial models and dashboards.
• Projects: Lead ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: No specific years required; suitable for recent graduates and early-career professionals.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Effective communication and interpersonal capabilities; Capacity to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
• Bonus: Internship or academic project experience in finance or accounting; Familiarity with financial modeling and data visualization tools; Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau); Understanding of GAAP and corporate finance principles.
