What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Support: Assist doctors effectively during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Operatory Management: Set up and breakdown operatory rooms efficiently after each treatment.
• Infection Control: Manage infection control protocols, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
• Administrative Assistance: Support doctors by accurately documenting patient charting information.
• Practice Operations: Perform various office tasks as necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of the practice.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level career position in dental assisting, requiring a high school diploma or equivalent education.
• Experience: No prior experience required, but must obtain radiology and safety certification within the specific timeframe required by the state of practice.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of building rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds; a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
