Chemist (Entry Level)

Location: Willowbrook, Illinois, US

Industry: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay: $19/hr for the first month, increasing to $20/hr after 30 days

Term: 3-month contract-to-hire

About the Role:

Our client, a well-established pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking an Entry-Level Chemist to join their growing laboratory team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent chemistry graduate to gain hands-on industry experience in a regulated environment with long-term potential.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine laboratory experiments and prepare chemical solutions and reagents.
• Analyze samples and interpret data to support quality and product testing.
• Accurately document results in lab notebooks and technical reports.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
• Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety protocols to ensure a compliant lab environment.
• Support senior chemists with testing, method development, and Quality Control (QC) initiatives.

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Chemistry (required).
• Strong understanding of core chemistry principles and laboratory techniques.
• High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work in a structured lab environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
