What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: New testing processes and methods for solutions and products.
• Analyze: Organic and inorganic compounds to determine their chemical and physical properties.
• Induce: Changes in substance composition using various catalysts like heat, light, energy, and chemicals.
• Research: Manufactured products to facilitate their development and improvement.
• Prepare: Standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry from a four-year college or university. This is an early career role, suitable for individuals with foundational knowledge in chemical principles.
• Experience: One to two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience with wet chemistry techniques and proficiency in using instruments such as HPLC and GC.
• Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and regulations; proficiency in writing reports and procedure manuals; effective presentation skills and communication with various stakeholders; strong mathematical skills including probability, statistical inference, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Bonus: Proficiency in using a PC with MS Word, Excel, and Access.
