What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and Execute Research: Under guidance, actively participate in the planning and implementation of research protocols, ensuring adherence to study objectives and scientific methodologies.
• Analyze and Report Data: Methodically analyze, accurately interpret, and clearly report study data, contributing to the overall understanding and dissemination of research findings.
• Perform Laboratory Calculations: Precisely perform essential laboratory calculations required for experiment preparation, solution formulation, and data quantification.
• Perform Reagent Testing: Conduct thorough testing of reagents to verify their quality, concentration, and suitability for use in experimental procedures.
• Facilitate Team Collaboration: Maintain good communication and foster positive interaction with other team members and cross-functional groups to ensure smooth workflow and collaborative research efforts.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a life science field, supported by relevant laboratory coursework directly applicable to the duties of the role.
• Experience: This is an early career position; no specific years of experience are strictly required, though additional entry-level or internship experience in a laboratory setting is considered beneficial.
• Skills: Strong organizational abilities for managing detailed research data, documentation, and experimental protocols; proficiency in basic computer applications, including word processing for reporting and spreadsheet software for data management and analysis; excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and various internal and external groups.
• Bonus: Prior entry-level or internship experience in a laboratory setting; specific molecular biology experience, such as performing Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and DNA extraction techniques.
