What You’ll Actually Do
• Pleadings: Draft, review, and meticulously file Summons & Complaint, Dispositive Motions, and other essential responsive pleadings.
• Court Travel: Travel to various local state courts to fulfill requirements for settlement conferences, status conferences, and other dispositive motions or hearings.
• Client Representation: Represent clients effectively during settlement conferences, status conferences, and critical dispositive motions or hearings, advocating on their behalf.
• Litigation Support: Contribute to the firm’s legal momentum by performing high-quality legal work that directly supports client needs and expectations in real estate and default services.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Hold a Juris Doctor degree, qualifying for this early career attorney position. You must be admitted to the New York State Bar or have admission pending, ensuring eligibility to practice law in the state. Core domain knowledge centers on legal services, specifically within the real estate and default services sector.
• Experience: This is an entry-level role, suitable for new attorneys. No specific prior years of experience are mandated, focusing instead on foundational legal readiness.
• Skills: Demonstrate excellent written communication for drafting precise legal documents, strong oral communication for effective court appearances and client interactions, and robust research skills to support legal strategies. You must also possess an aggressive, highly motivated, and hardworking approach to legal practice, alongside the ability to effectively appear and advocate in court settings.
