The Tone:
This is an entry-level contract role for Insight Global’s tech client. This client’s Home Appliance Product Support team focuses on improving the quality and performance of consumer home appliances such as refrigerators, washers, and dryers. The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in enhancing product quality and ensuring operational efficiency through data-driven insights. This position offers a unique opportunity for a recent graduate to apply analytical skills to solve real-world problems involving both technical systems and physical products, supporting reporting, product testing, quality tracking, and operational analysis within the division.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Analysis: Analyze service, warranty, repair, quality, and parts usage data to identify trends and support business decisions.
• Reporting: Create and maintain reports and dashboards for leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Quality Tracking: Assist with product quality tracking and manage issues related to home appliances.
• Troubleshooting: Support troubleshooting and root cause investigations for home appliance products.
• Product Testing: Test and evaluate home appliance units, including basic assembly and disassembly when necessary.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree completed within the last 0-3 years in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or a closely related technical field. This is an ideal entry-level position for a recent graduate looking to apply their analytical skills in a practical product support environment.
• Experience: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential to dissect complex data sets and identify actionable insights. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a core requirement for data manipulation, reporting, and analysis.
• Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting findings effectively. A keen ability to learn new technologies and technical concepts quickly, alongside a willingness to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, will be critical for success in this role.
• Bonus: Experience analyzing data gained through academic coursework, internships, research projects, or prior work experience is highly valued. An interest in consumer electronics or home appliance products, familiarity with reporting, statistics, or data visualization tools, and a hands-on technical aptitude with mechanical curiosity would be beneficial.
