This is a full-time, entry-level accounting role at MHW, a hybrid position with required office presence every Wednesday in Manhasset, NY. MHW has transformed the market entry process for alcoholic beverages in the United States, providing comprehensive solutions for market access, sales fulfillment, and compliance management to global producers and importers. This role is essential for supporting the Finance & Accounting department, ensuring operational efficiency and contributing to the company’s sustained growth as it empowers emerging brands in a competitive industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process: Manage daily receivables, payables, and various cross-functional accounting tasks.
• Analyze: Review accounts and reconciliations for over 300 divisions.
• Record: Prepare, review, and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Comply: Ensure adherence to state regulatory requirements.
• Support: Provide customer service to clients, customers, and stakeholders via phone and email.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level accounting or bookkeeping knowledge.
• Experience: 0-2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Skills: Excellent oral and written communication; proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to multitask with high attention to detail; capacity to work independently and as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn.
• Bonus: Experience or knowledge of the beverage alcohol industry.
