Job Description: Enterprise Cyber Security Internship
MVP Health Care is seeking a motivated Enterprise Cyber Security Intern to join their team in Schenectady, NY. This internship offers a chance to contribute to the security of a leading health care organization, gain practical experience, and develop valuable skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record and track IT security incidents, including data incidents, compromised accounts, email threats, and abuse reports.
• Assist with forensics analysis and fact gathering.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for applications, services, networks, and servers.
• Assist with applications/tools including SIEM, IPS, ticketing system, Azure Defender & 365, and DLP tools.
• Research and evaluate applications and services, providing a matrix detailing features.
• Review and update documentation for policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Provide first-level compliance monitoring and investigations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Must be a full-time undergraduate/graduate student in good academic standing, with preference given to students enrolled in Cybersecurity.
• Preference given to students with working knowledge of Networking, Software Programming, Microsoft Word, Visio, Excel, and web design.
• Must uphold, enforce, and abide by all institutional policies.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
