Engineering Summer Internship at Phillips 66 Refining
This internship program offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to Phillips 66’s refining or midstream operations. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers on real-world projects, chosen to showcase the diverse tasks of an engineering professional within the company.
Project areas may include:
• Optimizing existing processes
• Improving energy efficiency
• Handling key logistics

• Monitoring emissions
• Completing permit applications
• Optimizing equipment usage by identifying and eliminating defects

Required Currently pursuings
• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science/Corrosion, Metallurgical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field of study
• Greater than 30 hours of earned college credit
• Pursuing a degree for the duration of the internship
• Available for a minimum of eleven continuous weeks
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to maintain a tight face seal daily so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly (some examples include being free of facial hair or clean shaven)
Preferred Currently pursuings
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Previous internship with Phillips 66
• Previous internship or co-op participation in a related industry
• Willingness to work in any of the operating locations
• Valid driver’s license
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $2,822-$3,225 bi-weekly, depending on the candidate’s level of education. This position is eligible for the Phillips 66 geographic differential pay program, details of which will be provided in the offer of employment.
