Job description
Position Title: Engineering Summer Intern
Group: Construction
Location: Flint office

Position Requirements:
• Education: Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Concrete Technology. Junior or senior status is preferred.
• Skills/Experience:
• Possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required.
• Candidates must be self-motivated, very organized, and possess excellent communication skills.
Typical Responsibilities:
The Engineering Summer Intern’s responsibilities will primarily involve supporting the Construction group and include:
• Conducting and assisting with field inspections.
• Recording inspection daily reports.
• Acting as the on-site liaison with both the client and the community.
• Organizing and maintaining construction documentation.
• Developing an understanding of plans and specifications.
• Operating testing equipment.
• Assisting the Project Manager with contract requirements.
• Preparing various forms and other paperwork in a timely manner.
• Maintaining excellent client relations.
• Maintaining a safe working environment.
