About the Job: Engineering/Manufacturing Intern (Summer)

Nortech is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Engineering/Manufacturing Intern to join our team for the summer. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to real-world projects involving electro-mechanical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development: Work on assigned electro-mechanical device, component, assembly, tooling, fixture, and assembly design and testing projects.
• Technical Documentation: Draft or update engineering drawings and models for assigned products and assemblies using CAD software.
• Testing & Troubleshooting: Assist with product, component, assembly, and equipment testing, calibration, and troubleshooting, contributing to quality assurance and problem-solving.
• Supplier Research & Data Management: Research part and component suppliers, accurately create and maintain detailed parts lists, supporting supply chain efficiency.
• Presentation & Communication: Prepare and present project research and/or testing findings and recommendations to engineering and/or manufacturing teams, fostering clear communication and collaboration.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate and engage with cross-functional subject matter experts including manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and others as needed to problem solve and complete assignments effectively.
• External Communication: Communicate with customers and suppliers as requested, representing Nortech professionally.

• Ad Hoc Duties: May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, offering flexibility and exposure to various tasks.

Compensation:

The pay range for this exciting intern role is $22.50 to $24.90 hourly. Your exact compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, local labor markets, relevant education, work experience, specific certifications, and other pertinent candidate qualifications.

Internship Details:

This is a dedicated summer internship position, providing valuable hands-on experience within our Engineering and Manufacturing departments. The position is expected to commence in May and conclude by the beginning of August.

While all eligible candidates are encouraged to apply, we are specifically seeking college students who will be entering their Junior year of schooling, looking to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting.
