About the Internship

Join Cerus for an exciting and impactful 3-month onsite internship opportunity. This full-time position requires you to work 5 days a week, providing invaluable hands-on experience within a leading medical technology company dedicated to global blood safety. You will play a critical role in supporting engineering and scientific laboratory functions, contributing directly to the development and verification of life-saving technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience by learning to operate and support cutting-edge prototype and commercial equipment used in engineering and scientific laboratory environments.
  • Execute critical design verification protocols for pre-commercial devices, contributing directly to product quality and safety assurance.
  • Meticulously document design verification results, including defects, anomalies, and deviations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance.
  • Provide essential support for general engineering activities and maintain organized laboratory inventory, contributing to efficient lab operations.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent minimum requirement.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks, particularly in documentation and protocol execution.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively relay information, document findings, and collaborate with team members.
  • Work Ethic: A results-driven and highly motivated self-starter capable of working effectively with minimal supervision and taking initiative.
