Program Structure:

  • Juniors: Two rotations required.
  • Seniors & Graduate Students: One rotation required.

Compensation:

  • The compensation range for this role is $18.90 – $27.30 per hour.
  • Final compensation will be determined by your expected graduation date.

About The Position:

The Completions Operations Engineering team in St. Louis is actively seeking enthusiastic and driven students for a summer internship. If you possess a passion for engineering and are eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and innovative environment, we encourage you to apply!

Principal Responsibilities:

Responsibilities primarily involve:

  • Mechanical engineering design, modeling, and drafting of new and derivative versions of aircraft interior equipment.
  • Utilizing advanced tools such as scanning and 3D printing.
  • Developing and modifying engineering processes.
  • Coordinating closely with shop manufacturing personnel during fabrication.
  • Participating in root cause / corrective action events.
  • Engaging in new development engineering projects.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on, aviation-focused environment.
  • Capacity to convey complex technical concepts effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstration of maturity and a high level of professionalism.
  • Proven leadership skills, evidenced on-campus or in previous work experiences.
  • Previous internship experience is a plus.

Education Requirements:

Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following disciplines:

  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering

Internship Eligibility & Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Completion of sophomore year is required prior to the internship start date.
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (without rounding) is mandatory and must be listed on your resume.
  • Rotation Requirements: Juniors – 2 rotations; Seniors & Graduate Students – 1 rotation.
  • Minimum Duration: 12–14 weeks (summer); 14–16 weeks (spring and fall).
  • This is an on-site position; it is not remote.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language is required.
