Job Description:
Telular is seeking an Engineering Intern for their Mt. Prospect, IL office to work within the RMA (Return Material Authorization) Center. The Industrial Engineering Summer Intern will work directly with the Operations Manager to gain real-world experience on engineering projects related to the RMA Center, which tests and repairs GPS asset tracking and tank level monitors returned from customers. The purpose is to diagnose, refurbish, and/or salvage components of returned units.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with implementation of new RMA production lines.
• Work on existing RMA lines to improve layout, cycle time, and workflow.
• Value Stream Mapping of proposed and existing lines.
• Create Work Instructions.
• Involved in implementation of solutions and standard work.
