Company Description

Interested in being onboard with emerging 21st century technologies for the third millennium? That is what the General Electric Power Company is all about. We may develop a positronic brain using quantum computer science, leading the world at large in AI design engineering tools and advanced computer architecture in the near future. For example, providing computational power for hard fusion electric power plant control systems and simulation software systems, using enhanced APL, OpenAI GUI, and also employing HPE Superdome hardware with enhanced native coding. Our operating system is based in UNIX but coded with Smalltalk, not C, C++, Go, or R.

Role Description

This is the opening round of screening interested interns. There is no guarantee for a job offer at this time. This is also part-time, preferably hybrid, but can accommodate remote work under close supervision. This is a deferred compensation position where you will be paid at the end of your first year of work, depending on your contributions to the company.

Qualifications

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and business development skills
  • Willingness to learn new things in the corporate world
  • Pushing the envelope in bleeding-edge, emerging technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Networking and relationship-building capabilities
  • Experience in startup environments is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in general engineering disciplines, Entrepreneurship, or Design Engineering aptitudes
