This is an in-person internship based at the MANN+HUMMEL facility in Portage, Michigan.

Eligibility & Requirements:
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
• An unofficial transcript must be included in the application.

Duration & Schedule:
Start Date: ASAP.
Duration: A minimum 12-month commitment is required, with the possibility of extending up to 24 months.
Hours per week:
• During School: 15 to 20 hours
• During Breaks (Winter, Spring, Summer): 20 to 40 hours

Your Responsibilities:
• Create high-quality parametric 3D CAD models in accordance with MANN+HUMMEL design standards and assigned timelines by the Lead Product Engineer.
• Prepare 2D parametric drawings and schematics derived from 3D CAD models.
• Retrieve, organize, and store customer/supplier 3D data within CAD databases.
• Send CAD data to customers and suppliers as needed.
• Actively participate in Kaizen events to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
• Maintain a good attendance record to ensure timely completion of work.
• Support prototype build activities, including modification of existing products and general manufacturing assembly.
• Support the validation process for both existing and new products.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Educational Requirement:
• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical and/or Aerospace Engineering.

Skills Requirements:
Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite.
• Strong organization, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a collaborative team and office environment.
• Basic understanding of vehicle and engine powertrain knowledge.
