Job Description

This is an engineering internship program within the structural engineering group at Walter P Moore, designed for well-prepared students of top engineering schools. The program aims to expand the intern’s education in structural engineering.

Responsibilities:
Participate on project teams for a diverse range of architectural projects, including commercial, sports, healthcare, and public assembly buildings.
• Be eligible to participate in the company’s in-house staff development program.

Qualifications:
Required:
• A sound technical background.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Enthusiasm for the challenges of designing great structures.
• Hold a BS in Civil Engineering or have completed a minimum of 24 hours of engineering coursework towards a BS in Civil Engineering.
Accepted in or plans to apply for a graduate program in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
Flexible scheduling with consistent availability for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Preferred:
EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification.

Compensation (Hourly Salary Range Estimate):
The actual offered salary will vary based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, geographic location, industry experience, and internal equity. Walter P Moore reserves the right to offer more or less than the posted range without discrimination.
San Francisco: $27.60 – $38.40/Hr.
NYC: $26.45 – $36.80/Hr.
LA & Wash. DC: $25.30 – $35.20/Hr.
San Diego & Chicago: $24.15 – $33.60/Hr.
Denver: $23 – $32/Hr.
