About the Job: Engineering Intern (Summer 2025)

Marzetti’s Summer Internship Program is designed for ambitious students currently enrolled in school who are eager to jumpstart their careers. This program offers hands-on experience that aims to not only build a resume but also expand future career possibilities. Interns gain unique experiences within their field of interest while also obtaining valuable insight into other critical areas of the business.

Marzetti is seeking an Intern to join the [Engineering] Team for the summer of 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

The Engineering Intern will play a supportive role in various project management and engineering tasks, including:

• Assisting with the development of project scope and charter.
• Contributing to the development of Problem Statements and Risk Analyses.
• Collaborating closely with the Project Manager to ensure Program Milestones are successfully met.
• Aiding in the development of project timelines.
• Contributing to the creation of visual references for internal and external communication.
• Participating in the decision-making process for Project Development and Implementation.
• Assisting in the evaluation of Return on Investment (ROI) and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) packets.
• Supporting data collection, analysis, and validation.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this internship, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Education: Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate accredited University.
Area of Study: Focus in an Engineering Variant or Program Management.
Teamwork & Leadership: Demonstrated experience in teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or prior work experience.
Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills are essential.
Problem Solving: Demonstrates sound judgment and applies logical thinking when creating solutions.
Initiative: Displays curiosity and initiative.
Professionalism: Exhibits a professional, positive attitude when interacting with team members.
Work Style: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office® applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Project.
Management Skills: Possesses basic Project and/or Engineering Management skills.
Software Familiarity: Experience with Planisware or similar Project Planning Tools.
