This is an opening for a temporary Engineering Intern position within Assured Information Security’s (AIS) Agile Cyber Solutions (ACS) team.

The ACS team is responsible for developing novel, highly integrated, and customizable offensive and defensive tools. They also provide specialized services that cover the full spectrum of cyber operations.

Key Responsibilities and Contributions (inferred from requirements):
The intern will contribute to projects involving:
• Operating system simulation using Python.
• General programming tasks with Python.
• Application of object-oriented programming principles.
• Understanding and working within the engineering lifecycle.
• Engaging with virtualization technologies.

Education/Experience/Skillset Required:
• Education: Candidates must currently be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Prior Experience (Preferred): Previous internship experience with AIS is preferred.
• Essential Skills:
• Demonstrated experience simulating operating systems using Python.
• Proficiency in programming with Python.
• Strong understanding and proficiency with object-oriented programming concepts.
• A foundational understanding of the engineering lifecycle.
• Familiarity with virtualization concepts and technologies.

Clearance Requirement:
• The successful candidate must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Compensation:
• The position offers an hourly rate ranging from $21.23 to $27.81 (US Hourly Range). The specific hourly rate offered will be determined based on the selected candidate’s skills and experience.
