Job Summary

Work as part of a team to provide engineering support to ensure reliability, availability, efficiency, and functionality of all equipment, processes, and projects.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Interface with engineering staff, operations & maintenance groups, and other Luminant personnel to ensure consistent, practical, and effective engineering solutions.
• Participate in the EIT (Engineer in Training) Program, rotating through different areas of the plant to gain a working knowledge of those areas. Areas include, but are not limited to: Safety, Operations, Maintenance, Instrumentation & Control, Reliability, and Chemical / Environmental.
• Be assigned various engineering projects.
• Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Possess the ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Students sponsored through Optical Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) are NOT eligible for this internship.
• Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year institution of higher education and pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master’s Degree in one of our desired engineering disciplines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Access desired.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar systems.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills; presentation skills desired.
• Official transcripts must be received from your school prior to start date.
• Must be in good academic standing with your school.
