Emerge Program Associate – Commercial | WIDIA

This is a full-time, early-career leadership development program at Kennametal, operating under the WIDIA brand, requiring relocation or travel during its two-year duration. Kennametal is an industrial technology leader, delivering productivity through materials science, tooling, and wear-resistant solutions to a global customer base. This role is crucial for building emerging leaders within the Commercial track, expanding perspectives, developing functional expertise, and accelerating career development within the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotate: Navigate diverse functional opportunities including Sales, Portfolio Management, Project Management, Marketing, Technology, and Manufacturing.
• Learn: Actively acquire knowledge in metal cutting and understand how Kennametal products deliver technical solutions to customers.
• Understand: Comprehend how Kennametal generates revenue and contribute to uncovering new channels for business growth.
• Collaborate: Work side-by-side with other professionals at various locations and levels of the organization to develop a strong foundation and skillset.
• Drive: Participate in an ongoing learning journey to enhance technical, professional, and leadership acumen to drive performance and integration among business functions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level, completing a final academic year in STEM, Operational Excellence, Supply Chain, Business, or another related field of study.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience required, as this program is designed for early-career development and includes robust functional rotations. Willingness to relocate or travel during the program is required.
• Skills: Strong organization, facilitation, leadership, project management, and communication skills, alongside a strong analytical approach to problem solving.
• Bonus: Candidates with a minimum overall GPA of 3.2 are preferred.
