Job Description: Embark Scholar Intern
KPMG is seeking an Embark Scholar Intern for its Embark Scholars program. This internship offers a comprehensive experience across the firm’s audit, tax, and advisory services.
Responsibilities:
• Rotational Program: Interns will rotate through the audit, tax, and advisory business units, gaining exposure to client service and the professional services career path.
• Diverse Assignments: The role involves a wide range of tasks, including support for audit methodology, data analytics (D&A), and tax and advisory projects. This includes data extraction, analysis, work paper file creation, client report preparation, and business development activities.
• Engagement Team Support: Interns will work closely with engagement teams, assisting with tasks such as scope identification, client material review, insight generation, and leveraging analytical findings for project execution.
• Technology & Analytics: The position requires utilizing various technologies and analytical tools.
• Financial Integrity: Interns contribute to maintaining the integrity and transparency of financial information.
• Professional Conduct: The role demands adherence to KPMG’s standards of integrity, professionalism, and respectful conduct.
Qualifications:
• Education: Must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or community college pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accountancy, Taxation, or a related field.
• CPA Intention: Intention to obtain a CPA license is preferred for accounting majors.
• Coursework Completion: Candidates must have completed at least one semester of coursework at the time of application and have at least three additional semesters remaining upon completion of the internship.
• GPA: A preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion is a plus.
• Leadership Experience: Prior participation in KPMG leadership programs (Rise, Talent+, etc.) or other leadership programs is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication, task management, time management, and leadership skills are essential. Candidates should be flexible, adaptable team players, and resourceful in delivering high-quality work.
• Location & Transportation: Must reside within commuting distance of the office and have access to personal transportation (vehicle or public transit). Work may involve client site visits, potentially requiring travel and overnight stays.
• Age & Authorization: Must be 18 years or older by June 1, 2026, and authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
