Embark Scholar Intern Program
KPMG’s Embark Scholars Program offers internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. The program aims to attract and develop future leaders within the professional services industry.
Program Highlights:
• Rotation across various departments: Interns gain exposure to audit, tax, and advisory practices, understanding how KPMG serves its clients and the range of career paths available.
• Variety of assignments: Interns participate in a spectrum of tasks, including:
• Supporting engagement teams with audit methodology, data & analytics (D&A), and tax & advisory tasks.
• Data extraction and analysis.
• Creation of work paper files, client reports, and deliverables.
• Supporting business development activities.
• Identifying engagement capabilities and scope, reviewing client materials, providing insights, and proposing analytical approaches.
• Leveraging technology and analytics tools: Interns gain hands-on experience with a variety of technological solutions.
• Contributing to financial transparency: Interns play a role in ensuring the integrity and transparency of financial information.
• Professional development: Interns develop their communication, task management, leadership, and teamwork skills.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Academic standing: Enrolled in an accredited college, university, or community college pursuing or intending to pursue a Bachelor or Master of Accountancy, Taxation, or other related degree.
• CPA intention: For accounting majors, intention to obtain a CPA is preferred.
• Coursework completion: Candidates must have completed at least one semester (or equivalent for quarter schools) of coursework at the time of application.
• Remaining coursework: Upon completing the Embark Scholars internship program, candidates must have at least three additional semesters (or equivalent for quarter schools) to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements.
• GPA: Preferred GPA of 3.00 or above.
• Diversity and Inclusion: Applicants identifying as members of traditionally underrepresented racial and ethnic minority groups within the professional services industry (Black or African-American, Hispanic or Latinx, American Indian or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander) are encouraged to apply.

• Leadership experience: Prior participation in KPMG leadership programs (such as Rise, Talent +) or other organization’s leadership programs is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication, task, time management, and leadership skills; flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork; resourcefulness in delivering high-quality work.
• Residency: Must reside within a commutable distance to the office location and be able to travel using own means of transportation.
• Work location: Office or client sites, with potential travel and overnight stays (varies by office).
• Age: Must be 18 years or older by June 1, 2026.
• Work authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
