About The Hiring Group
The Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) group is a team responsible for promoting a safe work environment and managing programs to improve the health and safety of employees at RTI. EHS is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance in the areas of workplace safety, laboratory safety, radiation safety, and environmental.
Job Description
The intern will provide support to the EHS team in:
• SDS management
• Chemical safety and management
• Hazardous waste management
• Inspections
• Program document support
• Other EHS needs
This is a hybrid role that requires partial time at the RTP Campus and the opportunity to work remotely.
Specific tasks include:
• SDS review/finalization in new SDS management system
• Laboratory chemical inventory assistance
• Laboratory chemical waste management assistance
• Assist with inspections
• Review/update SOPs and other EHS documents
