Sparks Village Academy (SVA) – Remote Educational Media Internship
Sparks Village Academy (SVA) is seeking creative, self-motivated interns to help produce engaging educational videos for our growing YouTube platform. This role is ideal for students who enjoy storytelling, digital media, education, and social impact. Interns will help create long-form videos that educate families, empower students, and explore important issues in education and culture. Our goal is to make learning fun, relatable, and accessible for kids, parents, and communities.
🎯 What You’ll Do
As an Educational Media Intern, you will help produce long-form YouTube content (8–20 minutes) that is both entertaining and informative. Think of this role like an educational blogger — but through video.
- Educational storytelling videos
- Faceless YouTube content using AI tools, graphics, or stock footage
- Voiceover-based explainers
- On-camera educational content (optional but encouraged)
- Videos connecting historical events to issues students face today
- Kid-friendly explanations of complex topics
🎬 Responsibilities
- Research and script engaging educational topics for long-form video content.
- Produce long-form YouTube videos (8-20 minutes) aligned with SVA’s mission and content guidelines.
- Create faceless videos utilizing AI tools, visuals, or voiceovers to convey educational messages.
- Optionally appear on camera for educational discussions or explainers, contributing your unique voice and perspective.
- Edit videos using tools like CapCut, Canva, iMovie, or similar software, ensuring high-quality production.
- Follow SVA content guidelines and brand voice to maintain consistency and quality across all media.
- Manage your own schedule and meet agreed-upon deadlines, demonstrating strong time management and self-discipline.
- Stay aware of trends and topics relevant to education and youth culture to inform content creation.

We are looking for someone who is:
- ✨ Creative and self-motivated with a proactive approach to content creation.
- ✨ Comfortable learning new digital tools, especially those related to video production and AI.
- ✨ Passionate about education and youth development, with a desire to make a positive impact.
- ✨ Able to explain complex ideas in simple, fun ways, making learning accessible and engaging.
- ✨ Interested in storytelling and media production, eager to hone their craft in video content.
- ✨ Knowledgeable or curious about history, culture, and issues affecting students today.
- ✨ Able to work independently and follow project guidelines with minimal supervision.
Students studying education, communications, media, journalism, marketing, sociology, or related fields are encouraged to apply, but all majors are welcome.
💻 Helpful Skills (Not Required)
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- YouTube or social media content creation
- Video editing (CapCut, Canva, Premiere, iMovie, etc.)
- AI content tools
- Voice recording or podcasting
- Script writing or blogging
- Animation or visual storytelling
Training and topic guidance will be provided.
