Job Description:

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a full-time Early-Career Systems Architect (SA) in Orlando, FL. This role involves developing system architecture using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques for current and future missile system designs. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing system and system element architectures, designs, and interface definitions.
• Supporting internal and external design reviews.
• Serving as the focal point for the development and communication of the system architecture to various stakeholders (internal and external customers).
• Performing system architecture design using SysML-based tools.
• Defining system functionality, including system states and modes.
• Defining system design for software requirements/functional interfaces and mission planning features.
• Synthesizing design characteristics into an implementable system architecture.
• Working with the requirements management team to ensure accuracy of the subsystem element model within the overall system model and linking with the subsystem requirements.
• Coordinating with the team for modeling and simulation scenarios and predicted performance.
• Supporting system timelines and working with software and hardware teams.
• Documenting system design and implementation for various use case scenarios.
• Conducting model-based performance simulations to determine the impact of requirements changes on system performance/behaviors.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical, Mechanical, Aero, or Computer Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance (Interim Secret clearance needed to start).
• Ability to work onsite.
• Ability to travel >10%.

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency in DOORS, MATLAB, and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using Cameo and Data Hub.
• Understanding of basic missile system design principles.

Additional Information:

Clearance Level: Secret
Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time remote telework is available. The specific schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Other flexible schedules may be available.
Relocation: Possible.
Experience Level: 4 years and up of college.
