Growth Operator — Grocery, QSR & Retail | Hilbert

The Tone:
This is an early-career operator role at Hilbert, a scalable, data science-first growth engine that provides predictive clarity for B2C teams. The role is critical for the Grocery, QSR & Retail vertical, focusing on driving significant customer impact and evolving the product. This position emphasizes learning-by-doing with real consequences, where insights directly feed into product development and strategic customer decisions.

The TL;DR

• Mission: Solve real growth problems in grocery, QSR, and retail, feeding insights back into product development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Run Analyses: Apply Hilbert to customer datasets covering cohorts, basket dynamics, visit frequency, and channel performance, identifying product strengths, gaps, and areas for refinement.
• Inform Product: Translate analytical findings into structured input for the product and tech teams, collaborating closely with the Head of the vertical.
• Support Sales: Assist Account Executives in developing clear growth narratives for customers based on Hilbert’s outputs, focusing on strategies like win-back, LTV intervention, assortment shifts, and paid reallocation.
• Manage Relationships: Own specific customer relationship pieces from preparation and presentation to follow-through, learning from both successes and failures.
• Develop Expertise: Build deep fluency in the operational mechanics of grocery, QSR, and retail growth, including share of wallet, loyalty economics, and promotional lift.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Demonstrated experience owning impactful outcomes, even without prior growth function ownership.
• Experience: No specific years required; emphasis on showing analytical chops through projects involving messy data, models, or notebooks rather than credentials.
• Skills: Strong analytical abilities, sharp questioning, structured analysis, systems thinking, evidence-based reasoning, and comfort working with AI systems.
• Bonus: Direct exposure to grocery, QSR, retail, CPG, or related industries; a desire to learn from experienced operators and to challenge conventional industry narratives around “growth.”
