The Role: Early Career Electronics Engineer

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Electronics Engineer. In this critical role, you will be an integral part of the System Tester Sustainment team, ensuring that fielded support equipment remains operational and meets crucial production test needs. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

The successful candidate will demonstrate experience and/or knowledge in reading schematic diagrams, circuit design or analysis, and adeptly utilizing laboratory equipment to troubleshoot hardware issues.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Firm understanding of assembly, interconnect, and schematic diagrams.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical test equipment such such as power supplies, meters, oscilloscopes, and/or data acquisition devices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desired Skills

  • Firm understanding of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Experience developing and/or sustaining automated test system hardware configurations and associated procedures.
  • Experience troubleshooting automated test failures and executing root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with automated test methodologies.
  • Familiarity with hardware communication interfaces such as MXI, PXI, VXI, GPIB, TCP/IP, etc.
  • Familiarity with issue and project-tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day work week, while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.

Compensation & Benefits

National Pay Statement

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $57,500 – $101,430. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Premium Pay Statement

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $66,200 – $114,655. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
