Early Career Data Analyst | Lockheed Martin Corporation

The Tone:
This is a full-time, early career position at Lockheed Martin, with a hybrid remote schedule requiring some work at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. This role supports the F-35 Sustainment program within Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, where the analyst’s work is critical to understanding and improving the performance and readiness of advanced military aircraft, directly contributing to global security.

• Mission: Perform as a technical contributor to F-35 Sustainment, executing data analysis, modeling, and analytics tool development to optimize fleet performance and logistics.
• Tech Stack: MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint), HANA, SQL, Tableau, Oracle, Python, SharePoint, VBA

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analysis: Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of F-35 fleet metrics, including identifying system degraders.
• Efficiency: Identify and assess opportunities for process efficiency improvements within F-35 sustainment activities.
• Modeling: Create and prepare data for performance modeling initiatives, specifically supporting supply logistics or fleet achievable metrics.
• Development: Develop and test analytics tool capabilities, encompassing dashboard design and creation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree required in Aerospace, Mechanical, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other closely related fields. This is an early career role suitable for those with 4 or more years of college experience.
• Experience: Demonstrated coursework or experience with the manipulation and analysis of data in spreadsheets (e.g., MS Excel), practical coursework or experience using databases and/or visualizations (e.g., MS Access, HANA, Tableau, SQL/Oracle), and prior coursework or experience in formal presentation development, PowerPoint construction, delivery, and collaborative team environments. Knowledge of aircraft or military logistics is also required.
• Skills: Strong capabilities in data manipulation using MS Excel, proficiency with database systems such as HANA or SQL, ability to create data visualizations using tools like Tableau or similar, and skilled in developing and delivering formal presentations. You must be a US Citizen to obtain the required Secret government security clearance.
• Bonus: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including equations, Pivot Tables, and VBA. Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills, an understanding of performance metric measures and readiness reporting techniques, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Python, SharePoint, or additional Tableau experience is a plus.
