Job Description, Detailed

This is a DoD SkillBridge Internship Program at SEACORP, focusing on various technical and engineering disciplines within the defense sector.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience working across multiple departments. The primary focus areas are software, mechanical, electrical, systems, radio frequency (RF), and electronics engineering, all applied to defense-related projects. You will collaborate closely with experienced engineering teams, contributing to the development, testing, and implementation of advanced technologies and systems.

Responsibilities:
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to support the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects.
Project Execution: Assist in creating and executing engineering plans, including research, prototyping, testing, and analysis.
Development Contribution: Contribute to the development of software applications, mechanical components, electrical systems, or electronic devices, based on your area of expertise.
Troubleshooting: Participate in problem-solving processes to identify and resolve technical issues.
Integration & Testing: Support the integration and testing of new technologies and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and requirements.
Documentation: Document and communicate engineering findings, results, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Qualifications:
Education: Technical school/military training is desired.
Experience: 1+ years of relevant military experience.
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for all SEACORP employees.
Clearance: A Secret security clearance is required.

Location: Middletown, RI.

Travel: None.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
The work is performed in office and computer laboratory settings, involving sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard, and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of less than 40lbs may be required, along with movement between points within the same office or between buildings. The environment generally has consistent conditions with some seasonal temperature and lighting variations.
