Job Description: DOD SkillBridge Internship (Land Surveying and Geospatial Solutions)

This opportunity is a DOD SkillBridge Internship, specifically targeted at transitioning service members looking to leverage their military experience and build a career with real-world impact in the field of land surveying and geospatial solutions.

Your Impact at SAM (Internship Focus):

This internship is structured to provide hands-on training in critical areas of land surveying and geospatial services, including:
• Land Surveying: Participants will learn techniques for boundary surveys and topographic data collection.
• Aerial Mapping: Interns will gain experience working with cutting-edge digital aerial mapping tools.
• Construction Inspection: The program offers insight into the critical role surveying plays in construction projects.
• LiDAR Laser Scanning: Trainees will master advanced technologies for precision mapping.
• Utility Designating: Learning how to identify and map utility systems is also a key component.

What You Bring to SAM (Candidate Requirements):
• Must be a transitioning service member from any branch of the military.
• A strong interest in land surveying, geospatial solutions, or related fields.
• An eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices.
• Targeted Military Occupational Codes (MOCs) include 12T, 12Y, 15W, 0261, 1361, 7314, EA, 3E5X1, 1N1X1, though all MOCs will be considered, especially those with highly transferable skills.
