The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Adams & Martin Group, located in DTLA (Downtown Los Angeles). Adams & Martin Group is seeking a Docketing Specialist to join a respected law firm with a busy litigation practice. This role is critical for ensuring the success of the practice by meticulously managing complex court deadlines and maintaining essential calendaring systems. The ideal candidate will be a trusted resource for attorneys and legal staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• System Management: Manage the firm’s litigation docketing and calendaring systems, accurately calculating and entering deadlines across multiple courts and jurisdictions based on pleadings, filings, discovery, and depositions.
• Expert Guidance: Serve as a subject matter expert on court rules, procedures, and filing requirements, assisting attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants with deadline management and e-filing compliance.
• Research & Maintenance: Research court websites, statutes, court codes, and legal databases, and maintain court and firm holiday calendars.
• Calendar Distribution: Distribute accurate weekly calendars to attorneys and staff to ensure firm-wide awareness of critical dates.
• Software Utilization: Utilize platforms such as CompuLaw, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, PACER, ShareFile, Westlaw, and e-discovery tools to support complex docketing functions and ensure timely, accurate case management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate’s degree required with 3-5 years of law firm litigation docketing experience.
• Experience: 3-5 years of law firm litigation docketing experience, including proficiency with CompuLaw, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, PACER, ShareFile, Westlaw, and e-discovery platforms.
• Skills: Strong organizational and proofreading skills, technologically savvy, and the ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
