Job Description:
The Dishwasher is a vital member of the Back of House team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and supporting both the Back of House and Front of House operations. The Dishwasher reports to the Shift Leader (SL) and General Manager (GM), and is accountable for following their instructions and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sanitation: Maintain the sanitization program and ensure all dishware, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Stocking: Keep the line cooks stocked with utensils and flatware.
• Support: Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and managing trash/recycle needs.
• Chemical Handling: Properly use and store kitchen cleaning chemicals.
• Customer Service: Provide fast, efficient, accurate, and sanitary production to meet company standards.
• Multitasking: Continuously cycle through and perform all listed responsibilities to ensure duties are completed to company standards.
• Maintenance: Clean and maintain the kitchen regularly, including proper maintenance of machines and equipment.
• Policy Adherence: Follow all company policies, procedures, systems, and processes.
• Teamwork: Perform work of other team members as needed.
• Confidentiality: Keep company passwords and intellectual property confidential.
• Professionalism: Maintain a positive attitude, helpful demeanor, professional conduct, and appearance at all times.
• Attendance: Maintain regular and predictable attendance, with availability to work shifts ranging from 4 to 8 hours between 5:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Sunday through Saturday.
Requirements:
• Must be 18+ years of age.
• High school graduate (preferred).
• 1 year of restaurant experience (preferred).
• Ability to follow established protocols.
• Dependable, honest, trustworthy, and possesses integrity.
• Positive attitude and personal drive.
• Courteous and enthusiastic.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently (preferred).
• Successful completion of Team Member Training Program.
• Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of company’s products and procedures.
• Availability to work weekends.
• Reliable transportation.
Physical Demands:
The job requires continuous standing and frequent walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and grasping. Lifting and carrying is also required, with weights ranging from 1-10 lbs (dishware) continuously, 11-20 lbs (full buss tubs) frequently, and 21-35 lbs (trash/recycle) frequently.
