Job Title: Discovery High School Bits and Bytes 25-26 Intern (Computer Support Intern)
Overview:
Discovery Early College High School is seeking student interns for the 2025-2026 academic year. This internship is designed for students with an interest in learning and working in an Information Technology (IT) Support Environment and who enjoy solving IT support issues. The primary responsibility of the Computer Support Intern is to provide technical support to an organization’s employees and customers within the school setting. Interns will work under close supervision of school staff, ensuring no unmonitored time with other minors. The internship is categorized under STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
Key Responsibilities:
• Paying close attention to users’ descriptions of their computer problems and asking questions to accurately identify the issue and determine the appropriate solution.
• Training users on how to effectively use new hardware or software.
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to laptops and desktop computers.
• Accurately documenting all reported issues and their resolutions.
• Troubleshooting network problems and addressing individual user hardware or software problems.
• Setting up or repairing computer hardware and other associated peripheral devices, such as printers and scanners.
• Performing other tasks as assigned by the supervising staff.

Intern Conditions:
Selected interns agree to the following conditions for their participation:

• Students agree to work a total of 34 hours.
• The compensation for the internship is $15 per hour.
• Interns are required to maintain great attendance.
• Interns must attend all their regular classes.
Supervision:
All student interns will work under the close supervision of school staff, with a strict policy of no unmonitored time with other minors.
Compensation:
Interns will be paid $15 per hour for a total of 34 working hours.
